The Goal
In order for this project to be successful, we needed to create a website that would effectively communicate TailHaven’s mission and values while providing an excellent user experience for their visitors. Adopting a pet is a big decision, and we wanted to make the process as smooth and informative as possible, so that users could easily and confidently make the decision that would benefit both the animal and their hopeful new family
The Approach
When reviewing other animal shelter websites, we identified key elements that could enhance the user experience and better showcase the animals available for adoption. We focused on creating a clean, user-friendly interface that would allow visitors to easily browse available pets, learn about their stories, and find information on the adoption process in a way that felt natural and engaging.
The Result
This new website has significantly improved the user experience for TailHaven’s visitors, making it easier for them to find information about available pets and the adoption process. The updated design has also helped to better showcase the animals and communicate the shelter’s mission and values. Overall, the results have been very positive, and have brought many animals into new homes.

Caveat Brush and Open Sans are the two typefaces used throughout the site: Caveat Brush gives a playful touch, while Open Sans provides a clean and readable foundation for body copy.
